Kiroro の歌の英語版 「未来へ－TOWARDS TOMORROW」
Kiroroといえば以前当ブログで韓国でも人気となった「長い間」の韓国語バージョンをご紹介しました。 次は彼女らの曲、「未来へ」の英語カバーの曲をご紹介します。
白鳥英美子さんが歌ってます。結婚式のお祝いの曲を集めた2003年の
僕らの結婚の10日ほど前に発売された
「セレブレイション/CELEBRATION」 というアルバムに収録されていて、全12曲を英語で歌ってますが、そのうちの4曲が日本語の名曲の英語カバーになってます。
実はこれ、開隆堂の中学2年生用英語教科書、サンシャイン②に掲載されていました。タイトルはFUTURE/未来を使わず、TOMORROW/明日を使って、「明日に向かって」という意味になっています。
文法としては過去を思い出している現在ということで、過去と現在が同時に現れます。更にはタイトルどおりに、未来時制まで登場しますので、現在、過去、未来を心の中で行ったり来たりしながらお楽しみください。
過去の動詞部分を太字に、現在の動詞はイタリックに、未来はグリーンで表記しました。
